Snowy

Snowy will make a wonderful companion for an active older person as this is the type of life he is used to. Someone with experience of the terrier temperament would be perfect for Snowy. Snowy is still a fairly active boy who enjoys his walks. He stays on his lead due to being deaf and not seeing too well. He is very good on the lead. He is also good in the car and settles after a few minutes. Snowy is generally fine around the home and he settled into his foster home within a couple of days. He is OK to be left alone for a few hours. He doesn’t like to be shut away in a separate room though. When he first arrived in his foster home, he marked his territory, probably due to stress, but this has gradually decreased and now seems to have stopped. He is a great eater and will eat his dinner pretty much straight away every time. Due to his lack of hearing and poor sight, Snowy defends his food and treats if you approach him suddenly and startle him, but he will probably be fine in this respect once settled again into a quiet home. Snowy seems to be in fairly good shape for his age. He is quite deaf and almost blind in one eye, and he has medication for a heart murmur. He had a bad flea infestation when he arrived and has created a raw patch due to the irritation. This is being treated and responding well. He is vaccinated, wormed and flea-treated and will be microchipped and neutered. If you can offer Snowy a permanent home, please refer to our Adoption Procedures for information about the adoption process. You can then contact an Oldies Club rehoming co-ordinator as follows: Email: rehome@oldies.org.uk Telephone: 0844 586 8656 He can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, subject to a satisfactory home visit, but note that you will be required to travel to the foster home to meet him.

ferdy

Good natured, wants to play with us and dogs, until his batterys run down. He does like to chase runners and cyclists, but with the right training and owner this could be resolved.

Wanted For Adoption

Friendly

ripper

ripper is very loving and has a very good temperament.

Max

Max is a very loving and gentle dog who needs a companion. He craves company and doesn’t like to be left alone. He loves affection and gives it in abundance. He’s fantastic with kids and good with other dogs too, especially the ladies! He loves balls and very easy to tire, as he will case a ball and bring it back until he drops . Beware if you have a cat Max isn’t the dog for you as he’s a typical “Jack”. He is also very good off the lead (if there are no cats around) and will recall on command.

timmy

timmy has a very good temperment loves to play and go on long walks

Megan

We have a long legged parson russell terrier we have had since she was 8 weeks old. She is has just turned two years old this week – she is speyed, micro-chipped and fully vaccinated. She is loving, energetic and good with people (she loves attention and a cuddle but also loves long walks). She has grown up around our older (and lazier!) Cavalier King Charles so is good with other dogs. Megan loves playing with her ball on a rope and will spend hours fetching and chasing with it. Unfortunately since getting Megan my husband and I have had job changes that have resulted in working longer hours and our children are growing up - none of us are around as much as we should be and we think Megan is losing out and not getting the exercise that she needs and this could have knock on effect as she gets older. We really want to find a good home for her - this is very important to us.

One girl and one boy

They are energetic and perky. They play nicely together and have a good appetite. We think they are okay with other dogs. They have been together since birth.

Bobby

Bobby is a typical Jack Russell. He is a good house dog and barks whenever anybody comes to the door. He likes nothing better than curling up on the sofa on a night. Bobby has been to dog classes and he can do all of his basic obidence and does recall unless distracted. Due to Bobbys past he is best suited to a person/couple without children with lots of time to spoil him with attention and taking him for long walks. It is probably best for Bobby to have somebody at home all of the time as he does get separation anxiety if left for too long. Bobby does do the occassional wee in the house when he is shut off from you. If he has access to you then he tends to be fine.

Eddie

Eddie has the greatest personality, he makes you smile & laugh out loud, he gives you loving but wants loving too, loves attention, loves digging, sniffing, walking, greeting all friends(unless your a postman), belly rubbing, radiators and most of all he loves his ball!he snores and has a tendency to bring you his bowl if he is feeling peckish! Eddie helped my husband get through a serious illness and puts his recovery down to his love and affection.
